Florals

I've always had a soft spot for plants, especially flora. Growing up (and by 'growing up' I mean this still happens), my mom commonly found me with pollen all over my nose in her garden from curiously sticking it in her flowers. In college, my summer job was working at a garden center in the annual section and was fondly dubbed the 'petunia princess'. Now, I'm a houseplant hoarder dreaming of having her own guacamole garden someday.

(What's a guacamole garden you ask? It's a garden with all the ingredients for guacamole, duh.)

Florals are fun to play with, as they are such forgiving subjects. Their organic shapes lend themselves to experimentation, with room for whimsical elaboration. Here are a few I have painted in the past.
